Ochanomizu is place where its name is  a bit strange.

There is neither connection with ocha(tea) nor gushing fountain.

The reason why it’s called “Ochanomizu (water for tea) is that the second shogun Hidetada Tokugawa dropped by Kourin temple Kinhouji to use some water for tea after eagle hunting .

North East of Edo, this town has Kanda myojin to protect as main guard for citizen.




Folding paper and making animal shapes is called “Origami”.

It’s traditional play and has been loved by people since Edo era.

Origami kan is the origin place of origami.
